David Gubbay

Mr. Gubbay brings to the Falconhead Capital team a wealth of operating talent, as well as significant deal experience. Most recently, he was hired by Conseco Inc. Chairman & CEO Gary Wendt as head of Strategic Business Development. Prior to that, he acquired and built the business of Digital Seas International Inc., an Internet services provider serving the maritime and cruise industry, which was sold in December 2000 to Maritime Telecommunications Networks, Inc. In 1999, he served as Head of Operations at Norwegian Cruise Lines, where he helped implement the company's expansion plans and led the shore-side operations. From 1997 to 1998, Mr. Gubbay led the corporate development and mergers and acquisitions group of Fortis Inc., sourcing over $14 billion of public and private transactions. Between 1982 and 1996, he was employed by Whitehall Financial Group, where he served as Chairman & CEO of Insurance Operations and President of Life Partners Group. Mr. Gubbay serves on the boards of Premier Spas Inc., Extreme Fitness Inc. and Whitehall Financial Group. Mr. Gubbay has been a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England.
